Colour correction
The long, careful job of undoing box colour, banding or a tone that went wrong somewhere else, quoted honestly and often split across visits.
Correction work is the least glamorous thing we do and the thing we are asked for most. It usually arrives as a home kit that went dark, a set of bands from repeated root touch-ups, or a blonde that turned orange. There is no version of this that is quick. We assess with a strand test, set a realistic destination, and tell you how many visits it will take and what each one costs before we start. If the honest answer is that your hair cannot take it yet, we will say that and give you a plan to get there in three months instead.

Quoted only after a strand test. A single-visit correction on shoulder-length hair starts at $340. A multi-visit correction on long hair with years of box colour can reach $980 across two or three appointments, and you get the full plan in writing before the first one.

02How it runs
Step by step, in this order
Typical time: 3 to 6 hours, often across two visits. You are told which step you are on.
- 01 Assess the history and strand test
- 02 Set a realistic destination and write the plan
- 03 Stage one: remove or break down the existing colour
- 04 Stage two: even the base and re-tone
- 05 Review, treat and book the next stage if needed
Can you fix it in one appointment?
Sometimes, but usually not, and anyone who promises otherwise on hair with old box colour in it is guessing. We would rather book you twice than break your hair once.
Do I pay for the consultation?
No. The correction consultation and the strand test are free, and you leave with a written plan whether or not you book with us.
Will my hair survive it?
That is exactly what the strand test is for. If the answer is not yet, we will give you a three month plan to get the condition up first.
